VW unveils 5-door up!

VW has introduced a five-door version of its award-winning city car the up!, which is set to go on sale later this year.
The three-door model has been highly praised by a number of publications, with the motor receiving the What Car? 2012 Car of the Year prize earlier this month.
Editor of the magazine Chas Hallett stated the car "combines refinement, quality, space and economy", adding: "It sets new standards for the £10,000 price bracket."
VW stated the five-door version will retain all of the elements that have made the city car such a success, such as a 2.42m wheelbase that offers a good amount of interior space for a small car, an efficient three-cylinder engine and an innovative entertainment system.
While the three-door model can be ordered now - with the model set to arrive in showrooms in March - the first deliveries of five-door up! will begin in the second half of the year.
