Range Rover Evoque land prestigious award

The annual MSN Cars Car of the Year award has been presented to the Range Rover Evoque.

The unique Range Rover Evoque reached the top of the annual poll after 30,000 readers voted for the car that has caused a stir throughout the past 12 months.

The popular vehicle received 12% of the overall votes to take the award, with the Aston Martin Virage taking second place with 9%, and the McLaren MP4-12C back in third with 8%.

The Range Rover Evoque soared to the top of the poll as a result of its exceptional quality. It has the ability to go from 0mph to 60mph in 7.1 seconds and has a top speed of 135mph.

Having received the award, Richard Else, Director of Jaguar Land Rover Halewood Operations said; "I am delighted to accept the MSN Cars Car of the Year award on behalf of the plant and also the wider company. It is always great to receive external awards for our products - especially when the recognition comes from members of the public.

He continued; “We have been overwhelmed by the?extremely?positive reaction to the Evoque and are working hard here at Halewood to continue the delivery of an outstanding vehicle to our customers."
