New Toyota Aygo introduced with Fire and Ice

The 2012 range of the Toyota Aygo is set to cause a stir with the company’s new Fire and Ice models. The Toyota Aygo is more appealing to the eye and boasts a more efficient performance. Now available in the UK, the price of the Aygo is cheaper than the previous line-up as well.
The engine has been improved, with emissions reduced to below the 100g/km threshold. These lower emissions mean the Aygo is exempt from annual road tax and the London congestion charge. Drivers should also expect to gain more miles per gallon.
The Fire model focuses on sporty detail, yet the Ice version bases its theme on comfort and on-board connectivity. Toyota’s new design is displayed with the Aygo’s new front-end, added emphasis on the car’s lower section with integrated fog lights in each corner, and a large trapezoidal air intake to improve the performance of engine cooling.
The Aygo has gained road presence with the upper front grille being adapted to a slender model and a new bonnet design. These features have made the car more stylish, but the adaptations have also aided the car’s aerodynamic efficiency with its new bumper.
The Aygo Fire is equipped with 14-inch alloys, front fog lights, LED daytime running lights, rear privacy glass, leather steering wheel, gear knob trim and a rev counter.
The Aygo’s Ice specifications achieve car comfort with entertainment and connectivity, air conditioning, Alcantara and leather trim, a powerful four-speaker sound system, Bluetooth and a USB port to connect digital music players.
To protect and prepare the Aygo Fire and Aygo Ice interior and exterior from everyday scrapes and scratches while driving, the Xtraprotected Pack is available. The pack includes rear parking sensors, mud flaps, carpet mats, a rear bumper protection plate and side-protection mouldings.
Other adaptations can be added to the Aygo models, including metallic paint and air conditioning. The Style Pack is also an option for consumers that want to add the final touches to their Toyota Aygo model.
