Eco-friendly car finance buyers might be keen on Nissan LEAF

Eco-friendly car finance customers might be interested in pre-ordering the Nissan LEAF.

It has been described by the manufacturer as the world's first affordable, mass-produced, 100 per cent electric vehicle.

Delivery of the motors - which are priced at £23,990 (including a £5,000 government incentive) - will begin in March and Paul Willcox, managing director of the brand, said the vehicle is a milestone in the company's history.

He added: "We know that the benefits of electric mobility have struck a chord with motorists in the UK and initial interest across retail and fleet channels could result in demand outstripping initial supply."

And its not just car finance customers who might be attracted, as the vehicle has had interest from companies British Gas and Ikea.

Last month, the manufacturer's Sunderland plant was celebrating after the arrival of the Nissan JUKE model safeguarded 1,100 jobs at the facility, as well as the creation of a possible 2,000 additional posts across its supply base.
