Women 'using their wiles' to avoid penalties

Some female drivers have admitted to using flirtation as a strategy to avoid getting a parking ticket or reducing penalty points on their driving licences, a new study has shown.

The YouGov survey, conducted on behalf of Diva, found that women between the ages of 18 and 24 were the most likely to consider flirting their way out of a traffic ticket, with 34 per cent admitting they may try this tactic with a traffic warden to avoid penalties.

Overall, Yorkshire was found to be the most flirtatious region in the UK - with 25 per cent of women in the region admitting they would use their feminine charms when caught breaking the law - while women in London were the list likely to flirt their way out of a fix.

"I'm not sure guys realise just how shrewd women are when it comes to getting themselves out of trouble, said Kaye Sutcliffe, head of Diva.

"Flirting is just one more device divas deploy to get what they want behind the wheel."

In other news that might be of interest to female drivers looking for car credit, car insurance provider Sheila's Wheels has developed an interchangeable shoe that can be converted from a flat driving shoe to a more glamorous high heel.
