Car finance customers may be interested to hear that Vauxhall has been honoured for its customer services for drivers with disabilities.
According to reports, the company and the retailers that it works with "dominated" the Motability Operations Supplier Awards ceremony, picking up gongs such as the 2008 Manufacturer Partner Award.
Vauxhall's Bristol Street, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne retailer scooped the award for Dealers Managing a Fleet in Excess of 600 Vehicles and won the Motability Sales Specialist Award.
The honour was given specifically to Motability specialist Gavin Gray and the company's service advisor at Brandish Vauxhall, Andy Venus, was named Motability After Sales Specialist 2008.
Paul Adler, spokesman for Vauxhall's parent company GM, said: "This is a remarkable achievement by any standards and reflects the hard work put in by both our retailers and the GM UK Mobility team."
In 2002, GM reported that Vauxhall held nearly 26 per cent ofthe Motability market.
