Vauxhall's latest sporty addition has little to offer in terms of green credentials but could be exciting enough to tempt car finance customers.
According to a new review for Reuters, the Vauxhall VXR8 is built on the platform of the manufacturer's Omega and is fitted with a Chevrolet Corvette 6.0-litre engine. And although this may mean its CO2 emissions are high this will not deter petrol heads.
The news agency describes the car as "one of life's guilty pleasures" and suggests that car loans customers could be tempted to buy the car as "no one is going to sit in this car for very long before turning the key".
"The engine gives a satisfying V8 roar but it is amazingly light considering the torque it has to contend with and the gearbox is manageable, if a little slow."
It was reported in a recent review for the Top Gear website that the VXR8 would be an ideal purchase for the driver who wants to have "a bit of raucous fun".
