Car finance customers will find the new Toyota Avensis offers "significantly better" fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions than its predecessor, it has been claimed.
According to the manufacturer, the fact the updated model has been fitted with a new engine and transmission has resulted in a greener, more economical vehicle.
Toyota also said the revised car is more stylish and offers better performance.
It described its external appearance as "contemporary" and "athletic".
People who decide to take out car finance to purchase the vehicle will be able to opt for a saloon or tourer body styles - and will also have the choice of four trim levels.
Toyota stated whichever version buyers go for, they can expect excellent build quality and advanced engineering.
Available from January 1st, prices for the model start at £15,760.
In addition to the new Avensis, Toyota's iQ is also scheduled to arrive in showrooms up and down the UK next month.
