Automobile manufacturer BMW produces the cleanest premium vehicles on the UK market, according to new research.
Figures released by Clean Green Cars show an 11.34 per cent cut in average emissions in the company's cars, car credit customers may be interested to know.
Over the same period, industry rivals Audi, Mercedes and Lexus have brought down their emissions by 5.78 per cent, 4.13 per cent and 2.16 per cent respectively.
Clean Green Cars spokesperson Jay Nagley remarked that the company has made great strides in green driving.
"The BMW Group should be praised for its leading stance in this area. It's proof that driving dynamics can go hand-in-hand with a green conscience," he said.
A new scheme introduced in Beijing has seen officials in the city tell its 3.3 million drivers that they can only drive on alternate days depending on whether their registration ends with an even or odd number.
