On sale from June 5th, those seeking car loans may be interested to learn that the BMW X5 offers improved performance alongside lower emissions.

The sports activity vehicle (SAV) has undergone a series of engine and design adjustments that mean it is greener and sleeker than ever.

Motorists looking for car finance can choose from three new engine types - the xDrive30d, xDrive40d - each of which is compliant with European Union emissions standards.

According to carmaker BMW, the new xDrive30d is the first SAV of its kind to deliver carbon dioxide readings of below 200 grams per kilogram, making it ten per cent more efficient than the previous version.

Eco-conscious drivers could also be keen on the improved appearance of the BMW X5, which comes with a more athletic appearance, vent fins, matt aluminium-look lower scuff plates and enlarged vents on the front bumpers, among other enhancements.

Car loan customers are advised that BMW Group has been awarded seven prizes by BusinessCar magazine, including its environmental award of the year and manufacturer of the year.
