Skoda has announced it will boost its range of new cars with Tiptronic engine technology, which may be of interest to those with new car loans.
Reuters reports this week that the manufacturer has decided to offer the new 105bhp engines in a number of its models, which Warren Richards, product marketing manager for the firm, states is due to popular demand.
"Following interest from various sectors of the market, we have decided to open up the 1.6-litre 16-valve Tiptronic engines in Roomster 1, Fabia 1 and Fabia Estate 1 for general sale," the news agency reports he said.
It is thought that the new Skoda Fabia 1 will cost from £10,650 and the entry-level estate model could cost around £11,200.
The Fabia 2 could be available at somewhere around £11,650 - having been available previously at this price - and the Roomster 1 Tiptronic will start at £11,710.
Tiptronic engine technology derives from a concept originally from Porsche allowing more economical motoring. Last week Peugeot announced it would offer Tiptronic sequential control on its 308 range.
