Car loans customers are not alone in wishing to drive cleaner, more fuel-efficient vehicles - as the star of one US drama series has revealed his vehicle of choice.
The Times reports that Prison Break's Wentworth Miller has in the past been behind the wheel of cars such as Mercedes' 300 CD - but that nowadays the TV heartthrob is happier with his hybrid.
In an interview with the newspaper Mr Miller noted that his decision to drive a Toyota Highlander hybrid was "not about saving the planet", but was more about humankinds need to save themselves. "The Earth will be fine," he added.
He also noted that his filming schedule meant that long car journey's between LA and Chicago were often necessary and that this has led to more than one run in with the police - with one incident having a happier ending than he expected.
"I put my hands up straight away and didnt try to work the Hollywood angle but he knew me, said his wife was a huge fan and sent meon my way with a warning," he revealed.
The third season of Prison Break heads to DVD and Blu-ray next week
