Motorists, including car finance customers, who worry they may be over the limit when they get behind the wheel the morning after a big night out may be interested in a new gadget.
The AlcoSense Lite breathalyser registers a user's blood alcohol level and warns them if they are unfit to drive.
In contrast to other similar devices on the market, the manufacturer claims its product maintains its accuracy as a result of sensor clean technology which stops oxidisation, contaminants and moisture building up.
This reportedly ensures that the precision of the reading is not negatively affected.
Drivers who do not give a second thought to whether they are over the limit the day after a heavy session may be surprised to hear the manufacturer's claim that almost one in five drink drive prosecutions occur the morning after the motorist was drinking.
Last year, the RAC Foundation reported over the Christmas period one in five young people got into a vehicle believing the driver to be over the limit.
