People planning to try and secure car finance for a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution may be surprised to hear the advert for the model has been deemed too risque for daytime television.
In the marketing campaign, a boy is shown taking a ride with his dad in the vehicle.
The youngster asks his father "Where did I come from?" and the rest of the advert shows the parent trying to explain the facts of life to his son.
Clearcast, the company that decides whether material is suitable for broadcast before the watershed, said the marketing campaign should not be shown when young children were likely to see it.
Lance Bradley, Mitsubishi's director of sales and marketing, explained the regulator "thought that the light-hearted innuendo throughout the ad could be seen as inappropriate".
However, he said the manufacturer was more than happy to accept Clearcast's decision.
