Car manufacturer Honda is to make environmentally-friendly sports cars a reality as it unveils a proto-type at the British International Motor Show in July.
The company's Open Study Model (OSM), with efficient engine technology, could pave the way for mass-market green sports cars.
Honda has no plans for its design to enter production, so car loan customers wanting to juggle their desire for a sporty vehicle and their environmental commitments may have to wait.
But the firm said it will be gauging the responses of visitors to the UK's biggest motor show.
Other environmentally-friendly cars will be joining the OSM at the British International Motor Show, including Honda's FCX Clarity and Ford's Econetic range including the sub 100g/km Ford Fiesta Econetic.
Car loan customers could save money on road tax and the London congestion charge as the new Fiesta has low enough CO2 emissions to be exempt from both, according to autobloggreen.com.
