Motorists who have used car finance to buy a vehicle recently and are keen to keep their pride and joy in pristine condition may want to be especially vigilant this Halloween, the RAC Foundation has suggested.
According to the motoring group, the fact the spooky festival falls on a Friday this year could be bad news for drivers.
It claimed the last working day of the week is already a bad day for road accidents and the fact trick or treaters will be out in force during the evening rush hour will not help matters.
The organisation stated motorists will need to have their wits about them "as excited tweens and teens focus on their next sweetie fix, not road safety".
In other news, the RAC Foundation recently warned people who text behind the wheel could be at more risk of an accident than those who drive while drunk or on drugs.
