Drivers who live in areas of the UK prone to flooding have been advised on how they might wish to spend their car finance.
In response to a reader from Worcestershire, used car expert Matthew Tumbridge advised that there are a number of cars available for motorists who think they may be affected by the unpredictable British weather.
From the reader's shortlist, which included Honda's CR-V, the Nissan X-Trail, Land Rover Freelander and Toyota's Rav4, Mr Tumbridge said that the latter could be solid choice as it "feels like a more expensive car when out on the open road".
Also recommended was Subaru's Forester or Legacy models which "come in 4-wheel drive but are estate cars" as well as the Renault Scenic RX4 which combines the design of an MPV with raised suspension and four-wheel drive.
"Or buy an dingy and outboard so that if the Wales border counties do all flood, you can motor-boat to work!," he added.
The Toyota Rav4 is a compact crossover SUV and was originally introduced in Europe in 1994.
