The increasing environmental concerns of drivers and car finance customers have been addressed this week by one of the world's largest manufacturers.
Ford has announced this week that it has plans to reduce its carbon footprint by 30 per cent across Europe and the US by 2020 in a bid to assure potential customers on their green credentials, Bloomberg reports.
It is also suggested by the new s agency that the manufacturer of such as the Focus and Mondeo is keen to boost its image in the same way that has been successful for the likes of Toyota.
Commenting on the target, Ford Group vice president Susan Cischke said that the company had not always met its green commitments, but added "I'm very confident we will be able to stay on course".
Ford's Mondeo 1.8 LX was voted the best bargain used car in a study conducted by Carcraft and was praised for its rate of depreciation.
