A new contest from automobile manufacturer Fiat is inviting would-be inventors to come up with some fun ways to pass the time on a long car journey.
The Smiles Per Hour Design Competition is asking for entries that are both amusing and interesting.
It is offering a top prize of £50,000 for the best entry - an amount which could be used to pay for a new vehicle rather than car finance or a car loan.
Suzi Perry from The Gadget Show stated that the competition is "bound to generate some fantastic prototypes".
"We're famous in this country for our great inventors and I'm sure today's budding designers can match them all the way," she said.
This comes as Fiat has been given an award for its environmentally-friendly model, the Fiat 500.
It picked up the Green Supermini award at the first ever What Car? Green Awards at the British International Motor Show at ExCeL London.
