Citroen was awarded more accolades than any other manufacturer at this year's British Insurance Car Security Awards (BICSA).
The company won security awards in the Executive class with its C6, in the Compact MPV with its C4 Picasso Exclusive, and in both the Family and Small Family categories with the C5 and C4 Exclusive respectively.
Since the BICSA awards began in 2003 Citroen has won 14 accolades.
Xavier Duchemin, managing director of Citroen UK, commented: "Our continuing success at these prestigious awards reaffirms that Citroen is a provider of some of the safest and most secure vehicles on the market today."
The leading car manufacturer uses laminated glass on more models than any other manufacturer, which means the windscreen can withstand several blows and remain in-tact.
Buying a car with added security measures, like toughened glass, can reduce insurance premiums as the car becomes more difficult for thieves to break into, according to MSN.
