More motorists may be tempted to take out car finance for Nissan models after hearing the manufacturer's latest announcement.
The company has revealed it will be continuing to offer its British-built models with a minimum £2,000 discount to anyone trading in a vehicle that is between eight and ten years old.
In comparison, drivers participating in the original cash for bangers initiative need to own an auto that was registered at least a decade ago.
Managing director Paul Willcox commented: "Our £2,000 minimum trade-in provides what the governments scrappage scheme fell short of offering - a real incentive to buy a British-built car."
The models Nissan produces in the UK are the Micra, Note, Qashqai and Qashqai +2.
Car finance customers taking the manufacturer up on its deal will be able to drive away in the first vehicle for £5,995.
The offer has been extended for another three months.
Meanwhile, Qashqai drivers were found to be some of the happiest in Germany recently, when the model came third in the JD Power customer satisfaction study.
