Motorists who are considering using car finance to buy a 4x4 may be interested to hear the Land Rover Discovery 3 has won another award.
It has been judged as the best SUV in the 2008 Auto Express Used Car Honours.
Land Rover UK's managing director John Edwards said he was delighted with the award, but not surprised.
He stated: "The Discovery 3 is an outstanding vehicle that continues to win widespread acclaim for its all-round capability and practicality."
He pointed out the car has also proved popular in the Auto Express Driver Power survey when it was praised for its usability, handling, ease of driving, comfort and ride.
Meanwhile, David Johns from Auto Express advised anyone looking for an authentic SUV should opt for the Discovery 3.
Car finance customers looking for a second hand vehicle may be reassured to hear that Land Rover runs an approved used car scheme which means all its vehicles have to pass stringent safety checks.
Earlier this year, evecars.com voted the model the best family 4x4.
