Car loans customers who are looking to get their hands on the new Ford Focus RS may want to get their name on the waiting list as soon as possible.
Since unveiling the model at this year's British International Motor Show, the manufacturer claims it has been inundated with enquiries about the vehicle.
So far, some 1,000 motorists have made advance orders despite the fact it will not arrive in showrooms until 2009.
The colour of the model displayed at the motor show in London has also proved popular, with 40 per cent of those people putting their name down for the car requesting the electric green shade.
Final details of the colours which will be available have not yet been confirmed.
However, frozen white and electric blue are also among the most commonly requested shades.
Roelant de Waard from Ford said: "We're delighted by the reaction of performance car enthusiasts to the new FocusRS."
The manufacturer has revealed it will unveil the updated Ka at next month's motor show in Paris.
