Car finance buyers looking for a motor with a high level of reliability might be intrigued by the Mazda3, which the manufacturer claims has achieved a five-star rating in recent Euro NCAP safety tests.
Scoring the top possible ranking in the adult occupant protection, pedestrian protection, safety assist and child protection categories, the motor is the second Mazda model this year to have been handed such an accolade.
According to the company, the new Mazda3 takes on board the sporty styling of its earlier edition, not to mention the aforementioned safety credentials.
Previously, the Mazda6 was given the same five-star score in February 2009.
In related car finance news, the new Mazda3 was recently handed the Best Family Car prize at the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers Scottish Car of the Year Awards 2009.
Overall, it was recommended for its style, comfort, performance and fuel economy beating competition from the Volkswagen Golf and Skoda Yeti.
