Car credit customers looking for to trade in their current motor for a vehicle with impressive safety credentials may want to check out the new Ford Fiesta.
Gantex has revealed it is shipping auto-dimming interior rear-view mirrors for the revised model in Europe.
The manufacturer explained the device darkens automatically to prevent glare of lights on cars approaching from behind from dazzling the driver.
It stated the innovation would be included as standard on the Titanium and Ghia trim levels of the Fiesta and reminded buyers it was already available on the Focus.
Enoch Jen, senior vice president at Gentex, commented: "We are very pleased that Ford recognises the importance of the auto-dimming feature in the European market."
Other European carmakers have also expressed an interest in the device.
Last month, Honda announced motorists buying the new 2009 Civic, including car credit customers, would be able to select the safety feature as an option.
