Car credit customers may well be excited to hear that Mazda plans to launch an expanded 2009 Mazda6 line-up from January 2009.
The company states it is taking the chance offered by the arrival of its new MZR-CD 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine to introduce a number of specification upgrades - and an additional diesel hatchback model - to its new range.
Mazda says the diesel is one of the quietest engines in its segment, resulting in a driving experience which is one of the most exclusive in the sector.
"To achieve this quiet operation, the new engine has a very rigid aluminium-alloy block structure and this high structural rigidity is combined with a front chain-driven cassette-type counter-rotating balancer shaft to suppress booming noise and lower radiated noise," Mazda notes.
Meanwhile, it recent days, the manufacturer announced the Mazda6 was names best family car in the Association of Scottish Motor Writers' Scottish Car of the Year Awards 2008.
