Movie star and model Kelly Brook has been punished by police after being found using her mobile phone while driving.
The 28-year-old, who appeared on BBC1's Strictly Come Dancing this year before having to pull out, was given a ticket for travelling and chatting at the same time.
Car credit customers should be aware that Department for Transport legislation states that those caught breaking the law in such a way risk a £60 fine and three-point licence penalty.
Such a conviction may cause Ms Brook difficulty when she next comes to look for a cheap car insurance policy, as cover firms could perceive her to be a road risk.
"The officers didn't treat her differently than anyone else ... They explained it was against the law and gave her a stern talking-to," an onlooker remarked to the Daily Mirror.
Kelly Brook has also appeared in Superman-related television drama Smallville.
