Manufacturer BMW has claimed to have broken the UK record for a car auction turnover.
A 'virtual sale' at the end of last month that saw 100 BMW dealers sell their stock secured business worth £9.8 million, BMW states.
Those armed with a car loan would also have had large selection of vehicles to choose from as the manufacturer states models available for sale included the 3 Series, X5 and Mini Hatch and Convertible.
Buyers looking to make the most of their car credit have also been reminded of the potency of the BMW name.
Speaking after the auction, national account manager at British Car Auctions (BCA), which conducted the session, said: "This high profile event broke the turnover record for a UK auction and underlines that the strength of the BMW brand is core to its ongoing success in the premium marketplace - whatever the current conditions may be."
Those with used car loans may also be interested to read that BCA holds around 100 auctions aweek and stock is taken both from manufacturers and leasing companies.
