Motorists in the UK can save money by opting to travel via motorbike rather than car, it has been claimed.
Research commissioned by Bennetts and conducted by financial planner Martin Bamford has found that drivers can pocket £337,700 over a lifetime by making the switch.
It could be that those who do change their mode of transport also save on areas such as motor insurance and guaranteed car finance.
Mark Fells, marketing director for Bennetts, remarked that the cost of vehicle upkeep between the two types of transport varies significantly.
"We hope that these findings will encourage people to review their personal transport methods in an effort to lower costs and reduce the hassle of commuting," he said.
This comes after research conducted by the Finance & Leasing Association found that more automobiles are being bought with car finance deals in 2008 than 2007.
