Car credit customers may find that they save on their car insurance costs by shopping around for an appropriate deal.
The Association of British Insurers (ABI) has stated that significant savings can be made by drivers who have a thorough search for a policy.
According to Malcolm Tarling, speaking on behalf of the ABI, while prices are predicted to go up, the industry still has a competitive market.
Drivers looking for deals should not be blinded by prices and need to make sure a cover deal suits them, he added.
"Shopping around is the best way of cutting the cost of your insurance. But make sure you shop around and find a policy that actually has the cover you want," the expert said.
The ABI is made up or around 400 companies. Between them all, they provide 94 per cent of the domestic insurance services picked up by customers in the UK.
