Car credit customers looking to stay safe on the road could find that blinking proves an excellent assessment of whether they are too tired to travel.
A study conducted by GEM Motoring Assist has found that people who blink more than the average number of ten times per minute are likely to be bored or tired.
David Williams, chief executive of the breakdown firm, commented that the method is a good way of keeping safe.
Indeed, it could keep people from claiming on their car insurance policies as they may be involved in fewer accidents.
The official remarked: "It is a built-in early warning system that gives us the opportunity to head for the nearest motorway service area or other refuge from the road before our driving becomes erratic and potentially dangerous."
GEM was recently hailed as the best roadside breakdown firm by Auto Express.
